BANNER ELK STABLES
Open year round, Banner Elk Stables offers horseback riding for the entire family year round. Take a memorable high mountain trail ride in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains on the flanks of scenic Beech Mountain. Enjoy nature's beauty and often the wildlife that inhabit these mountains all on horseback. It's a beautiful ride any time of the year. With our large stable of horses we're sure we have just the right horse for your riding ability, even if you have never ridden before.

Grandfather Mountain State Park
Grandfather Mountain has been an icon in North Carolina's landscape for generations, offering stunning scenery and unmatched ecological diversity. This state park opens the mountain's 2,456-acre backcountry to spectacular hiking and backpacking. The park is known for some of the South's most severe weather and challenging terrain, with trails that have hikers scrambling along cliffs and up ladders. Access to 12 miles of trails and backpack camping sites is generally from the Profile Trailhead on NC 105 or trailheads along the adjacent Blue Ridge Parkway. However, trails can also be reached from the park of the Grandfather Mountain Stewardship Foundation, which includes the mile-high swinging bridge and other attractions, and there is a fee for this access.

It's more fun in the river! Some river activities include fishing, tubing, boating and biking. Also, we also offer these activities on site! The Stinging Nettle Food Truck provides you with some amazingly awesome food! Online Ordering is available so you can order your lunch before you even get here for your river trip!

Our professional guide is driving so you can enjoy the scenery and mountains more comfortably. With the addition of the these vehicles we are expanding our trails. Our high-quality vehicles are street legal, so we can tour all of beech mountain roads. All tours include a professional guide, and operational and safety instruction.
